The best work that anybody ever writes is the work
that is on the verge of embarrassing him, always.
Jeanne Viray studies at Monash University, completing her double-degree in Arts/Law. She started writing with what she thinks was Transformers fanfiction, and now she still writes about robots. Her work is mainly in speculative fiction and short stories. Her cast of characters has so far included a beekeeping android, a vengeful Filipino deity, romantic aliens, a zombie twenty-something-year-old, and regular twenty-something-year-olds. She writes to music, and believes there’s probably a song for everything.
She was born in Manila and misses Mister Donut, her family, and the stray cat in Lucena, very much.
Jeanne is passionate about diverse voices in literature and often infuses her own personal identity and culture in her work, learning as she goes.
